M4EG-World Bank Training Courses for Signatories are being digitalized.

Year 2020 with “Mayors for Economic Growth” was initially planned to be rich in capacity-building activities for Signatories, including multiple trainings provided by World Bank specialists. Support to SMEs, public investment management, finding a competitive niche in the IT, Tourism, and Agricultural sectors – this is the list of pre-approved topics for training events to be offered to the Signatories in the region.

Some training programs commenced in January and February of 2020 and were accomplished in several countries, though none of them could be fully completed in each country (as planned) due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In this regard, with the understanding that the restrictions will be staying with us for a while, the World Bank and M4EG are working on transforming the traditional trainings into digital training kits, that can be used independently of the trainers, but which foresee interactive sessions and discussions that can be conducted at the national level in a self-paced way.

When finalised, the new digitalised training materials in all the national languages will supplement the online training e-library of the M4EG Initiative.
