The Pioneer Project under the "Mayors for Economic Growth Initiative", supported by the EU, launched into implementation in Armenia

“EU for Sevan: SME platform for Business Development and Innovation” project’s official launch event that took place on March 1 in town Sevan. The EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Świtalski, Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Mr. Davit Lokyan, Deputy Ministers Varazdat Karapetyan and Karen Isakhanyan, Head of Gegharkunik region Karen Botoyan, representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gegharkunik Marz and other partners participated in the event.

The main goal of 24-month project is to contribute to sustainable and substantial economic growth in Sevan district with positive results for employment through the promotion, strengthening of the local entrepreneurship and partnership. The center will facilitate and provide business development services to SMEs and start-ups in Sevan district (50 start-ups and 50 existing businesses) and support 200 job seekers.
