Baranivka

Baranivka is a town of district significance (until 2001 – an urban-type settlement), the center of Baranivsky district of Zhytomyr region; 11.9 thousand inhabitants. The river Sluch flows through the city.
The town has 20 industrial enterprises, more than 7 agricultural companies and three utilities, which produce products and provide various services.
Baranovka is the center of production of porcelain products.
Baranovsky Porcelain Factory - the oldest porcelain manufactory in Ukraine. The company produced its first products in March 1802.
In 2013, the construction of “Organic Milk”, a complex plant for the processing of organic milk of its production, with a capacity of 30 tons per day, has been successfully launched. Today, the company employs more than 60 people.
On September 9, 2017, after a two-year construction in a village on the Sluch river, a small hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 382 kW was opened, whose forecasted production of electric energy was 1,713,400 kW/year per year.
In December 2010 in Baranivka the condominium "Nadiya" was created, which now manages 35 multi-apartment houses.
There are about 30 NGOs registered.
