This multi-country Call for Proposals contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Mayors for Economic Growth initiative, supporting cities/municipalities in the Eastern Partnership region to become active facilitators for economic growth and job creation at the local level.
The Call will finance the implementation of pilot projects included in cities' Local Economic Development Plans and aiming at:
The Call targets those cities that have already a Local Economic Development Plan, which is consistent with the principles outlined in the Mayors for Economic Growth Concept.
Cities selected will become the "Pioneers" of Mayors for Economic Growth by implementing pilot projects capable of showing how concrete actions included in the Plans can be realised on the ground.
