Training on Public Investment Management conducted by World Bank experts for the Armenian and Georgian M4EG Signatories
The World Bank's two lead public investment management specialists conducted two 1.5-day trainings for local economic development officers of over 40 local authorities of Georgia and Armenia (on 17-18 February in Yerevan and 20-21 February in Tbilisi). The training focused on improving public capital investment projects’ identification, appraisal, and monitoring at the local level. The workshop was conceived as a follow-up to the WB team’s technical review of the Local Economic Development Plans submitted by M4EG Signatories, which identified this topic as one requiring more capacity building on the ground for better results.
